Life is Emotionally Abusive - October 22
Sweet Teas,
I have not been doing well. Starting the month exhausted and still recovering from covid, and then attending a doctor's appointment where I was delivered terrible news has left me depressed in a way that I have never been before. I have been crying about it for... weeks. I think my eyes are bruised. Not even the new Taylor Swift album could cheer me up, and I didn't even have the motivation to wake up at 5 am for it like I usually do. Even in the darkest of times, that was my tradition, but not this time. It breaks my heart. I am doing slightly better now, thank goodness.

Thanks to the aforementioned terrible news, I am editing my diet YET AGAIN to try and reduce the terrifyingly painful symptoms of endometriosis that I am dealing with daily. This Youtube Channel is a wonderful place to go if you are looking for safe ways to improve your eating habits!
The highlight of this month was seeing my grandpa and my fairy godmother. If you don't have a fairy godmother, I am sorry. Sareela is mine, a dear family friend who hunts in charity shops for delightful clothes and sends them in beautifully wrapped care packages to my doorstep, meaning I have hardly ever had to buy clothes new, and always feel supremely loved.
I was also extremely lucky in being able to attend the theatre THREE TIMES thanks to my new power chair!!! Thank you so much. I hadn't been out in public properly like that since before covid, and it was really wonderful. These were the shows I saw:
Harry Baker is a poet and comedian who dazzles with his puns and mathematical wit. If you get the chance to see him live I can promise you won't regret it.
The Noise Next Door are an improvisation comedy group and this was my second time seeing them. There is lots of audience participation, and it was so much fun going up on stage and watching them make comedy out of my job title... 'disability consultant'. They are brilliant.
Local Hero the musical is on until the 19 Nov if you are interested in what happens when a Texan oil executive attempts to buy the tiny Scottish fishing village of Ferness...
☀️ Good News: Theatre! My boyfriend! Family! Friends! It's impossible to not be grateful for all the wondrous things in life, but that doesn't mean you can't also acknowledge when things are really bad. October was shit, friends. But it was also good. 'Life is emotionally abusive' - Taylor Swift
