Happy 2023 Sweet teas! I hope this year brings you hope.
Kintsugi means golden seams and 2022 knows a thing or two about threads.
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of using gold pigment and lacquer to put a shattered vessel back together. It is a long and extremely accurate repairing process, taking several weeks or even months.
If 2020 was spent breaking apart, then 2021 was spent searching for the pieces, and 2022 was the year of the hot gold glue. I just hope 2023 will allow it to set.
