Dear Swee-tea,
I hope this finds you with a toasty tea, hot chocolate or another comforting beverage!
If you’re new here, a very warm welcome! It’s delightful to connect with you. January is notoriously hard for me, but it’s been particularly frustrating this year as I am in a flare up! I have put together a list of things that help my pain in the hopes that they help you too.
Here is a poem I wrote in an Avatar the Last Airbender themed Poetry Orchard Workshop inspired by wanting people/systems to be more open minded and compassionate.
You’d think for all my intensity I’d know how to create a fire That could embed embers into hearts until even the iciest thawed Melt my own rage and marvel at my mollification through burning every institution to the ground And they say revenge is best served cold... But that’s not what I’ve found

Learn about the secrets to gluten free baking in Katarina Cermelj’s fabulous cookbook ‘Baked to Perfection’. I can’t recommend it enough, as someone who is gluten intolerant, it is incredible (pun intended) to eat bread and cake with flavour! It would also make an excellent gift for any celiacs/gluten sensitive folk you know. Although the focaccia recipe is only available in her book, you can find plenty of free recipes on her website Loopy Whisk!
